This is not the real website for the Students for Democratic Society. We are in no way affiliated with the SDS.  We are three undergraduate students and created this site  for a Bryn Mawr College Sociology course, “Movements for Social Justice.”

We attempted to create this site as we imagine the Columbia SDS members would have represented themselves in April 1968 had internet been available to them. We have based all of our creations on historical accounts and factual research, but all of our posts are still our own interpretation and fictional representations of the events. We had no intention to misappropriate the organization’s cause or publications and hope that we have not offended any viewers or actual past participants in the process.

Thank you so much for your time, and we hope that you have enjoyed and learned from our site!!
